Transavia announced flights to Rotterdam

Dutch airline Transavia will start to operate from Rotterdam to Pula during 2017.
Flight will start from 8th of July until 3rd of October with two weekly rotations, every Tuesday and Saturday during July and August, and every Monday and Thursday during September and October.

Berlin and Bristol for 2017.

British airline Easyjet will introduce two new destination for 2017, Berlin and Bristol.

Flights to Berlin will start to operate from 27th of June until 02nd of September with three weekly flights on every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Flights to Bristol will start to operate from 27th of May until 30th of September with one weekly flight every Saturday.

In total this is 5th destination from Easyjet, after introducing London Gatwick, Paris CDG and Hamburg 🙂

Eurowings will start to operate Munchen with three weekly flights

German carrier Eurowings will start to operate from Munchen in 2017 !

We proudly announce that Pula will be finally addiitonally connected to Germany, to destination Munchen .
After Lufthansa, also a German carrier Eurowings will start their flight program from Munchen to Pula from 02nd of May until 27th of October with three weekly flights, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays with their Airbus A320 with capacity of 174 passengers 😉

Polish National carrier Lot Polish introduces Warsaw – Pula flights

Another flag carrier at Pula airport !

We proudly announce that Pula will be finally connected to Poland, to destination Warsaw, Poland .
Polish national carrier LOT Polish Airlines will start their flight program from Warsaw to Pula from 14th of May until 15th of October with two weekly flights, Saturdays and Sundays with their Dash8 Q400

New flights Frankfurt – Pula

Pula Airport  can now proudlly announce that German flag carrier Lufthansa (DLH) will commence their flight program from Frankfurt to Pula.
Flight program will start on 28th of April until 20th od October with two weekly flights, every Monday and Friday with Bombardier CRJ9.
Airport Frankfurt is the biggest airport in Germany with more than 60 million annual passengers and more than 468.000 A/C movements.
German flag carrier Lufthansa has 268 aicrafts in their fleet and has flight program to 220 destinations worldwide.

Pula Airport Management

British Airways introduced their flight program for 2017.

Pula Airport proudly announces that British Airways (BAW) will commence their flight program from London Heathrow (LHR) to Pula during 2017.
British Airways will operate with two weekly flights, every Tuesday and Saturday, from July to September with their Airbus A319 (capacity up to 143 passengers) and Airbus A320 (capacity up to 177 passengers).
British Airways will be 6th airline that will operate from London to Pula, after EasyJet (EZY), Norwegian (NAX), Thomson Airways (TOM), Ryanair (RYR) and Jet2.com (EXS), but the first one who will operate to Europe’s busiest airport, London Heathrow.
London Heathrow is the airport with more than 75 million annual passengers and 472.067 aircraft operations. It has 80 different airlines operating from Heathrow to 185 destinations in 84 different countries and it is considered as one of the most important airports in the world.
British Airways is the biggest UK airline with 295 airplanes in their fleet connecting 183 different destinations.
UK market is the biggest market for Pula airport with share of 31% of total passenger volume and annual growth in 2016 was 21%.
With this new flights to London Heathrow, Pula Airport will be connected with non-stop regular flights to “Europe big 4”, which is London Heathrow (LHR), Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Frankfurt (FRA) and Amsterdam (AMS).

Record breaking August

During August, we had 115 026 passengers and this was second time in a row that we had more than 100 000 passsengers during one month.

Furthermore, during August Pula Airport had the highest yearly growth with 25 % comparing to JAN – AUG  2015.
From the beginning of the year total passengers volume was 349.663 which is actually nearly total passenger traffic for entire 2015 (359.426 passengers).

Regarding Origin & Destination data (O&D) highest growth was from following countries:

  • France 92%
  • Ireland 52%
  • Germany 26%
  • UK 22%
  • Russia 20%
  • Netherlands 10%

According to all data, Pula Airport expects to have a celebration of its 400.000 passengers in the last week of September as this will be the first time to reach total passenger traffic more than 400.000 passenger.

First time more than 400.000 passengers

For the first time after Croatian independence, we had handled 400.000 passenger and the lucky passenger was Mrs. Maria Carmen Gisbertdomenech from Valencia on a Croatia Airlines flight from Pula to Frankfurt. Until now, highest total passenger traffic was from 2008 with 397.363 passengers, but absolute record was 1990 with 672.241 passengers.
According to flight plan for 2016, at the end of business year we expect about 425.000 passengers.

Highest passengers numbers in one month

During July, Pula airport had the highest passengers numbers in one month. In total, there was 116 334 passengers and this was the first time that Pula Airport had more than 100 000 in one month. The higest passenger volume was during July 2014 with 94 768 Passengers.
Furthermore, during July Pula Airport had the highest monthly growth with 33,9% comparing to July 2015.
From the beginning of the year total passengers volume was 234 632 with 23% growth comparing to 2015.
